Screening Sites for 'The Line' Documentary in New Mexico

Today is the premiere of The Line, a groundbreaking documentary from Emmy Award-winning writer and producer Linda Midgett. The feature chronicles the new face of poverty in America.

To mark the occasion, Sojourners has scheduled a special screening in Washington.

Venue: The Gwendolyn and Morris Cafritz Theatre, Columbia Heights Education Campus
Where: 3101 16th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20010
When:
Tuesday, October 2, 2012 beginning promptly at 8:00*-9:30 p.m. EDT

The Washington screening will be followed immediately by a panel discussion featuring the president and CEO of Sojourners, Jim Wallis, Linda Midgett, and other invited guests.

Bread for the World, along with three other organizations-Christian Community Development Association, Oxfam America, and World Vision--have joined Sojourners in sponsoring the documentary, which also has support from the The McArthur Foundation and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.

Chances are that most of us reading this blog will not be in Washington for the premiere.  Not to fear. The Line will be shown in other parts of the country on today's premiere date as well as other dates in October. This includes six sites in New Mexico.  (When we first posted about the documentary in September, there was only one site). If you plan to go, please contact the organizer, as some of these locations have limited capacity.

There are two screenings today in New Mexico, on in the south-central community of Hondo, and the other in Farmington in the Four Corners region.
