Back in April, we blogged about how Bread for the World advocate Ellen Buelow of Albuquerque was honored as 2012 Catholic Charities Volunteer. She earned this award because of her dedication to improve the lives of refugees, a ministry that she began in 2007 as an ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor for Mexican immigrants for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
Catholic Charities USA officially presented the award to Ellen at its Annual Gathering in St. Louis this past weekend. Way to go, Ellen!
