One-Man Play Explores Life and Spirituality of St. Francis of Asssi

St. Francis of Assisi has been called the “saint for all peoples.” Every Christian denomination and in fact every religion in the world recognizes that this was a saintly man. For one night he has been given “special permission” by the heavenly powers to return to earth from the communion of saints-to visit with us for a brief time. And to talk with us “face to face.” He’s been sent back to our time to share with us something that is in danger of being lost: the freedom and joy of Gospel living.  -Inscape Ministries
In "St. Francis: Face to Face," Albuquerque resident David Hoover portrays St. Francis of Assisi through a one-man “reader’s theater," a performance that explores the life and spirituality of the beloved saint and spiritual leader. Hoover, one of two storytellers at Inscape Ministries, conveys Francis' deepest struggles and intuitions about the meaning of life and death, about prayer, mystical experience, war and peace --- and the way of universal compassion and non-violent love which flows from a life of union with God.

The performance is a benefit for Trinity Catholic Worker House in Albuquerque. Where: Holy Family Church, 565 Atrisco SW, Albuquerque (map). When: June 4, 2016, 7:00pm. Monetary donations will be accepted for the continued ministry of Trinity House.
