Six weeks ago we published a post about Women Redefining the Experience of Food Insecurity: Off the Edge of the Table. The book offers 12 case studies that focus on low-income women who
must negotiate the constraints of the food system in order to put
nutritious food on the table. Janet Page, the editor of the book and co-author of one of the chapters (as well as the introduction), will speak about the book on Tuesday, August 26, 7:00 p.m. at Bookworks, one of the few remaining independent bookstores in our city. Read more about the presentation in the Bookworks Web site. The bookstore is located at 4022 Rio Grande Blvd NW (Map).
