The campaign aims to build on the success of recent years. Thanks to global efforts, the impact of malaria has been cut in half. However, there is still work to be done, and achieving the goal of eradicating malaria requires an integrated strategy. "Working side-by-side with local communities, national departments of health, other nonprofit organizations (like Nets For Life, UNICEF, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies) is precisely the way we will beat this disease," say the campaign organizers.

UMC churches around the country are using a number of creative means to support this important effort. In Albuquerque, Rev. Greg Henneman from Central United Methodist Church and others invite you to participate in the annual 5-kilometer Run/Walk to raise funds for Imagine No Malaria. For the registration fee of $25, you can save at least two lives (For every $10 raised, a life can be saved through prevention, the purchase of bed nets, treatment, and education. If you cannot participate in this event, you can donate to the campaign at any time.
