Five Ways to Start a Fair Trade School Year

Schools in Albuquerque and other communities around the country started their school year a week ago. Schools in other cities and towns are starting next week. Fair Trade USA has developed a list of five ways in which families can start the school year with fair-trade practices.  This includes school supplies, clothing, and food items for breakfast, lunch bags and after-school snacks.

"Think of it this way: When you buy school supplies that are Fair Trade Certified, you aren’t just sending your kids back to school; you’re enabling a brighter future for hard-working families and enabling entire communities to invest in their own education," said Fair Trade USA.
