Merry Christmas from Bread New Mexico

It seems a bit strange to send holiday greetings to anti-hunger advocates in New Mexico with Christmas scenes from the country of Cuba.  As many of you know, I was there for about 10 days in the middle of December. On the other hand, the photos are very appropriate to celebrate the universal message of Christmas, which is our common connections.

With these scenes, a saxophone-playing Santa at the restaurant Paladar San Cristóbal, the tree in front of the  Catedral de la Virgen María de la Concepción Inmaculada in Old Havana, and the rum-spiked coconut water vendor at Santa María beach I extend Christmas blessings to everyone and look forward to continuing our work in 2017.   Carlos
