Imam Ali Rizar Candir, professor of Religious Literacy at Houston University
and former national President of the Dialogue Institute, will be the featured speaker at the annual Fall Gathering of New Mexico Interfaith Power and Light on Saturday, November 5, at First Congregational Church, 2:00-5:00 p.m. Imam Rizar Candir will explore the
similarities among Islam, Christian and Jewish traditions and their obligation
to care for creation and address climate justice. Connections will be made with
the current expressions of violence, intolerance and the relationship to climate
change followed by audience questions. The event is free and open to the public.
