Vote to End Hunger: David Beckmann Urges Political Parties to Highlight Hunger During Electoral Campaigns

On Wednesday, July 27, Bread for the World President David Beckmann was asked to speak to a group of faith leaders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Beckmann urged Democrats (and Republicans) to address hunger during the upcoming presidential and congressional campaigns. He was one of  three people with connections to Bread to play a role in the convention on that same day. Bread co-founder, Rev. Bill  Byron, S.J., delivered the invocation, and former Bread board member, Rev. Gabriel Salguero, gave the convocation.
