Celebrating Mother's Day in Videos (Part 1)

On Mother's Day Weekend, we not only celebrate and honor our own mothers, but also the role of women around the world who work hard to make life better for  families, their villages and neighboring communities.  We celebrate those strong women with seven videos from non-governmental and church-related organizations.   

In Part 1, we show Mother's Day greetings from CARE (and a mother from New Guinea) and Oxfam, and a video about the Bread for the World Institute's 2015 hunger report, When Women Flourish We can End Hunger.  Part 2 will celebrate the role of mothers in Kenya, El Salvador, India and Palestine via videos from Church World Service, Catholic Relief Services, Episcopal Relief and Development and Lutheran World Relief.  Because the message is timeless, these videos span several years.
