Faith Leaders Call on White House to Stop Deportations

Here is a cross-section of faith leaders  and immigrant-rights advocates who participated in a rally in Washington on July 31, 2014, to protest President Barack Obama's immigration policies. The 112 people who participated in the rally engaged in acts of civil disobedience, which resulted in their arrests. You might recognize the first speaker, United Methodist Bishop Minerva  Carcaño, who served as co-pastor of Cristo del Valle United Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque's South Valley in the early 2000s (along with Daniel Erdman).  Video courtesy of Church World Service, which organized the potest along with Casa de Maryland.    Call on President Obama to Stop Deportations
