Still Waiting, Still Watching, Still Turning
If you pray, pray for a crack
that can breach your self-protections,
dispelling all partialities and enchantments.
For there can be no "guarded" prayer.
Praying begs surrender,
and requires an undefended heart.
And then light can pour through,
till the moment bursts,
bathing you in bright sensations,
of songbird chants,
wet breezes on the skin,
and the freshness of the day.
