We
posted earlier that the the State Legislature's recommended budget HB2
eliminated $1.2 million needed to fund the
State SNAP Supplement program which serves about 12,000 seniors and increases their minimum federal benefit of $16 to $25 per month. According to Ruth Hoffman of the Lutheran Advocacy Ministry-New Mexico, the
funding was restored to HB2 before the budget bill went to the governor.
